10:00The Museum of Ceramic Art, HyogoThrough the appreciation of kotan-yaki, students will learn about the history of Tamba-yaki and its interpretation.
11:00Tamba Traditional Crafts Park, Tachikui Sue-no-satoVisitors will experience contemporary Tamba-yaki works that continue to create in a variety of ways while inheriting their history.
12:30The Oldest Climbing KilnI imagine the kiln owners continuing to make ceramics with the power of fire.
13:00Tanso-gamaVisit a traditional folk art pottery studio. (Slipware experience available)
14:00Toshihiko-gamaWe will visit the studio of a kiln that is run by a father and his son, who are particular about the clay and are typical Tamba-yaki potters.
*Tour on 2025/5/14 does not include this visit.
15:00Shōyo-gamaThe tour will visit the studio and gallery of a young artist who conducts the “Tohaku (pottery overnight stay)" program.
16:15Dismissal at Sue-no-sato-mae Station (bus)
Tour plans are subject to change.
Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:30 for those who wish. However, participants are responsible for their own expenses.
Transportation expenses on the day of the tour shall be borne by the participant.
